The Sword Hilt

This is an ornate hilt of a sword, old but finely crafted of faded platinum. The handle is wrapped in leather grips, sitting below a pommel and cross-guard engraved to represent a stylized sunburst. The blade nearly entirely missing, with only the smallest fragments suggesting there ever was one. Those fragments are of a strange material, unlike any iron or steel, but rather more like ancient stone—and a similar piece of stone, highly polished, glows at the center of the hilt's sun.
