Wachterhaus Dinner Menu
Unlike the Baron, Lady Wachter does trying to pretend all is well. The food she has served fits her station, but she does not — or perhaps cannot — spend more than necessary on extravagances.
Appetizer | Roast Chard. (A salad of roasted chard leaves along with roasted parsnips, onions, and mushrooms. Sprinkled with crumbly Krezk cheese.) |
Soup | Black Soup. (A sweet and sour soup cooked with blood, vinegar, cherries, and honey. Little dumplings float in the soup.) |
Main Course | Sausages, potatoes, and sauerkraut (The sausage is pork, the potatoes are boiled and buttered.) |
Dessert | Svalich Wood Pudding. (A rich pudding made from cream, eggs, blackberries, cherries, and blackcurrants.) |
