Four Daily Prayers

Morning

O glowing prince, our blessed succor,

Welcome return, oh Morning Lord.

As the sun’s splendor breaks,

I prepare for what the world takes.

Whatever happens this day,

Protect me on my way,

So every morn I might pray thee:

Today do not abandon me!

Noon

Andral, thou art holy and bright,

Keep my poor soul in your white light,

Keep the dark shadows long at bay,

But do not burn me in your hot day.

Do not burn too hard and far long,

Lest you fall far and land all wrong,

For if we lose thy radiant day-light,

All is li’l more than mist-grey night.

Evening

Oh raven bride, this hallowed eve,

Looking from thy western seat,

Another night comes, no reprieve,

So we seek salvation at your feet.

Let your wings shield us from woe,

Let your brilliances quench us so.

Raven bride, with your tears of red,

Steel us for the dark night ahead.

Night (if awakening)

O Mother Night,

Did not act cross, weak, nor unkind,

Did everything fair and right,

My own affairs did I mind.

Here I honor thee with thy due,

So that you will look far from me,

Tomorrow I'll be good and true

If the morn you do let me see.
